Talent Profiles

Black Apron Society is built like theatre: the room, the rhythm, the timing. Talent is curated to elevate the experience — from the first pour to the final track. Some acts remain intentionally unrevealed until closer to service.

Lineup evolves. Certain performers are held TBA by design to protect the surprise and keep the room rare.
Live Performance

JAXX

Canadian-born • Trinidadian heritage • Soca-forward crossover sound
JAXX performance placeholder

JAXX (born Stefan Bindoo) is a Canadian-born singer and songwriter of Trinidadian parentage, recognized for his contributions to the Soca music scene and his ability to blend it with Reggae, R&B, and Pop. His sound carries high energy “island vibes” — built for movement, built for the room.

His early breakthrough is tied to a spontaneous live moment in Trinidad in 2009, performing alongside Blaxx and the Roy Cape All Stars, a turning point that helped launch his run in Soca.

Note: Artist availability may shift. If a lineup change occurs, the Society will replace with a performance of equal or higher impact.

Mixology

Tenika Bennett — Drinks by Nika

International mixologist • Beverage consulting • Experience design
Drinks by Nika placeholder

Tenika Bennett is a Toronto-based entrepreneur, international mixologist, and digital creator — recognized as one of the Top Black Canadian Influencers (2025). Her work sits at the intersection of hospitality, storytelling, and brand-forward experience design.

She is the founder of Drinks by Nika, a boutique event bartending and beverage consulting agency built for moments that need more than “a bar” — they need a curated station, a signature pour, and a reason guests remember the taste.

Her experience spans major cultural and lifestyle environments including Milan Fashion Week, Art Basel, and the Miami Rum Fest — rooms where timing, presentation, and guest flow matter as much as the recipe.

Beyond events, she has built digital platforms that amplify women’s confidence and culture storytelling — including unattached & unbothered (launched 2018) and A Greedy Bish.

Professional Proof

Why she fits the Society: polish, presence, and the ability to deliver at high standards.

  • Founder: Drinks by Nika — boutique bartending + beverage consulting
  • International event experience: Milan Fashion Week, Art Basel, Miami Rum Fest
  • Corporate leadership: communications manager experience with major brands (Canada)
  • Community governance: board member roles supporting social impact initiatives
  • Speaker appearances including International Women’s Day-focused programming (Toronto, 2025)

Society Pour Concept

The goal isn’t “cocktails.” It’s ritual: a signature station that feels designed for this room.

  • Signature welcome pour to set tone at arrival
  • Mid-service pairing moment (one crafted drink timed to a course)
  • Optional “after-dark” cocktail to transition dinner into rhythm

DJ Sound Seekerz Entertainment

Open-format selectors • House/Afro • Soca • R&B/Hip-Hop • Global energy • EDM •
DJ SoundSeekerz placeholder

SoundSeekerz is an open-format DJ and entertainment group built for rooms that need range — not one lane. Their strength is control: reading energy, shaping pace, and evolving the soundtrack from refined ambience to late-night lift without breaking the vibe.

They move fluidly across genres — house, EMD, R&B, hip-hop, afrobeats, dancehall,Soca, and pop — selecting with intention rather than “just playing hits.”

For Black Apron Society, that versatility matters: dinner needs elegance, the reveal needs drama, and the after-service moment needs rhythm. SoundSeekerz can score all three.

What They Deliver

A soundtrack that matches the Society’s arc — classy first, lively after.

  • Arrival + cocktail hour: refined, cinematic, low distraction
  • Service pacing: clean transitions, energy control, no “club noise” during courses
  • After-service: house/EMD sets, global party rhythms, and open-format momentum

Genre Range

Built for a mixed crowd — professional, stylish, and ready to move.

  • House / EMD
  • R&B / Hip-Hop / Throwbacks
  • Afrobeats / Dancehall / Soca
  • Pop / Edits / High-energy transitions
Additional Acts

Acts — TBA

Revealed closer to service • Protected for surprise • Curated for impact

Certain performances are intentionally held back until closer to the event date. This protects the surprise, elevates the reveal, and ensures the Society stays rare.

Members will receive lineup details in advance through official Society communications.
